Sod Farm

Photograph info: This photograph was taken yesterday after a terrible storm that dropped several inches of rain in a few hours. When the clouds finally broke up I was in the car, wishing for a nice, flat stretch of land to help illustrate how low the clouds seemed to be and - voilĂ  - a sod farm appeared!

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 24mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1/125s. Curves adjustments.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

I love green sod! Instant gratification right there. :)

Another light painting. Nice edges and a pleasing division of some big chunks of sky/tree/sod/dirt with some cloudy neutrals to set off the sharper hues........well duh, what did I expect to find here? I love it.

(Looks like the guy by the white truck is fixing a belt.)

Now this is not your typical harvest scene.
Acres of turf so lush and so green.
I wonder whose job that it was
To make the grass look as it does,
For not even one dandelion is to be seen!

Love those clouds! So smooth; so nice.

Feels like I can walk right out onto the field. And that cloud above has quite a weight to it, giving it an ominous quality. Interesting photo....a little surreal.

Victoria; Perhaps he was caught without a ticket, and discovered beneath the truck.....(Stuck inside of Durham, with the Memphis blues again?)

JPH, "Who's job it was?"
It seems to me,
Was a wandering Rock Star
with his 2-4-D

Looking at that gorgeous grass makes me really wish I had done sod instead of seeding. Such gorgeous rich colors.
