Wheat Hill, Foggy Morning
Photograph info: I took this photograph this morning (Sunday). We had a powerful and drenching thunderstorm last night that left a beautiful blanket of fog behind. Have a good Memorial Day. Hope you'll stop to remember someone important to you. Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Comments
Nice DOF, (Depth Of Fog!) I also enjoy the hue and textural transitions that occur when capturing the "edge" of crop fields. The distant horizontal light glow becomes nearer distinct tips. Closer, comes the clarifying detail of individual participants standing in the front row. They represent thousands of their friends and relatives who willingly stand side by side for days on end, in order to provide humanity with some pleasant (and possibly edible) visual effect. Of course visual effects are like wild game, you have to shoot them to share them. So TYVM for taking the shot. Posted by david tinnon on May 24, 2009 12:29 PMWonderful mood. Love the greens and the mist. Posted by Marcie on May 24, 2009 1:30 PMGreen is so green and the mist softens the view nicely. I just love the green grass again'st the misty morning sky. And I love how wheat looks when it's waving in the air. Great shot again! Posted by jody on May 26, 2009 4:36 AMReminds me of the moments between sleep and awake. Dreamy :) Very Lovely Indeed! Sort of reminds me of a civil war photo or an early morning trip to get water. Posted by cheryl on May 26, 2009 6:43 PMStunning. The green is so fresh and new. It seems I could reach out and run my fingers through the soft tufts of young wheat. Memorial Day has always meant a lot to me having had several members of my family serve. My dad always reminded us of the meaning of the day when we were growing up. My son is in the States right now and was home for the long weekend which really reminded me how blessed we are that he can come home when so any have given the ultimate sacrifice. Posted by Laurie on May 27, 2009 6:36 AMWoah! This is beautiful. It literally took my breath away. Posted by Clarinda on May 27, 2009 10:57 AMThis is so pretty.
