Hang Gliding Above the West Branch of the Susquehanna River

Photograph info: This photo was taken on Saturday in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, about 3 hours northwest of Durham Township.

Great detail in the humongous version.

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens with circular polarizing filter at 17mm, ISO 400, f/16, 1/500s. Curves adjustments.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

Love the way the light highlights the contours of the landscape just so. Awesome!

Again, the composition is fantastic. You have captured a very nice view with a little extra.

Nice! My great grandfather was born in Lock Haven and my great great grandfather in Jersey Shore, so I was wondering where this was. Thanks for identifying the county.

Beautiful shot! What a clear day! I was there a few years ago, but it was to humid to get much of a picture.

The thrill of riding the breeze, the amazing view, I think I'd have a sensory bliss-out and forget to fly the thing! I'd better stay down here and watch....maybe a picnic on that island.

Marvellous. The striking yet invisible and probably only imaginated parallel of the gliders path in the air and the soft curve of the highway in the valley is superb.

Excellent landscape and the sky looks great. Well done.

Beautiful! I love that sky!

Great view and the handglider adds interest and reminds me of how small we are in this world but what a big impact we can have because of our ability to create and equally destroy things.

There once was a climb, the horizon to scan.
With river and road and mountains spread like a fan.
From the valley was heard
This observant word....
It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a hang glider, man!

I wonder how many would have missed the hang glider if you had not mentioned it. Great vantage point incidentally.

I miss Hyner View State Park. And I miss PA (I live in Utah now). Thanks for reminding about that view. I've been there many times and your picture brings back good memories.
