First Warm Evening

Photograph info: This photograph was taken Wednesday evening about 6:30 p.m. - warm & sunny enough late in the day to believe that spring has really arrived, despite the bare walnut trees along the road. Walnuts are always the last to get leaves (and the first to drop them).

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 24mm, ISO 400, f/6.3, 1/800s. I was walking backwards at a pretty fast pace when I snapped this - I probably would've opted for a smaller aperture if I was really thinking about it, but such is spontaneity. Curves adjustment for contrast.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

What I really like about your photos is the diversity. Every post is different! I tend to be much more of a specialist.

Lovely sweet image Kathleen. Yes it's incredible today too. And lol at you walking backwards. Be careful!

Even a nut has the right to bare limbs! (the trees, not the stunt crew captain--on second thought, shooting backwards, guess that puts you in the stunt crew union too!)

Anyway, I see Bucks County is a pretty rough place. A guy could lose his shirt. Still, it is more nice by you, in the color, composition, subject, depth of road (DOR) and post processing departments....but then those departments usually to do well around these parts, and we can add the "shooting backwards" department to the list of well doers.....(and don't forget the union dues.)

Thanks for the walk, I feel better.

Beautiful photo. I found your blog a few weeks ago and have been amazed by your work. Your photos completely relax me and almost take me away from reality for that moment!! I'm new to photography and loving it, I've actually become quite obsessed with taking pictures!

Thanks for putting the photo info., that's been a big help for a newbie like myself!! Nice to realize I don't need to fully understand photoshop or spend hours in it, to produce a good picture. I'm focusing on getting in right in the camera. Practice, practice, practice. =)

You would certainly think a Cub Scout would know,
It's safer to walk facing traffic, not with the flow.
But this country road appears little traveled
So I'll let it slide this time and not get unraveled.

There is no leaves on the trees, but the boy does not even have a t-shirt. So it must be the first warm spring day! :)
