Jenn, Chinatown

Photograph info: This photograph was taken last weekend during a trip to the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show.

It was a beautiful evening with temps in the 70s and we found crowds of people walking Chinatown's colorful streets, enjoying the dramatic change in the weather. Although I'm a big fan of the Philadelphia Flower Show, it was a difficult choice to go inside the Convention Center that night!

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Canon 85mm f/1.2L lens at f/1.8, 1/100s, ISO 400. Curves for contrast.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

Nice; I like the lights in the background. Chinatown in Philly is a neat place when its lit up. By the way, i do believe I saw you in Jim Thorpe this week-end at the parade.

From Durham Township the road we go down
To Philadelphia, even to it's Chinatown.
Chandeliers sparkling and glowing, their light is projecting.
Jenn's silouetted hair and eyelashes appear to be connecting.

I love the colorful bokeh, well balancing the single colors of dress and pillow and adding a serene mood.

terrific, glorious, glittering bokeh - oh yeah, and Jenn is beautiful and sharp as a tack!

I love that sparkly bokeh. It is just so pretty and captivating. A wonderful backdrop for this portrait of Jenn.

So well composed soft lights and sharp profile. The burnt out blur rising above Jenn's head suggests one of those "cartoon thought balloons" (and she does look to have something on her mind.) Jenn must be totally oriented (ha, ha!) to getting shot at any moment as a mandatory correlary to "hangin' with Kathleen!" since she often appears completely unaffected by your "working presence."
It is another very nice colaboration by you both, thanks.

Very intriguing. So often we hear "have your subject looking into the frame and not out of it". Here she is looking out of the frame but it leaves me wanting to know... what is she looking at? And that is holding my attention. Cool.

Another great picture. I had to look up bokeh but yes, it's great. :) I aspire to capture images like this more often. Sigh...

Beautiful shot and great DOF. It's a wonderful experience opening this on the web as the sparkling lights display first and then the girl appears.
