Photograph info: This photograph was taken the same morning and from the same location as the last two posts. It was the first of three over a 26 minute time span.

It's funny how tiny the sun looks in some circumstances.

I didn't realize it at the time but there was a big blob of water on the lens when I took these shots. You can see it pretty clearly in this photo (center, top third) and in the first photo I posted (the haziness of the left red glove). I don't think it had much of an impact on the photos, (maybe added some tangible atmosphere to the shots, ha) but it was a good reminder to keep the lens cloth handy in damp weather.

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 24mm, ISO 160, f/7.1, 1/800s. White balance adjustment (slightly warmer) and basic curves adjustment for contrast.

I do like the mystery of the fog shrouded background and there's a certain elegance that branch.......simple elements to create a strong, emotive image. Great shot.

This is such a beautiful image. The atmosphere is so quiet and lovely. I could find myself easily losing track of time here.

Like a well varnished old European Masterpiece....not a bad job for a young Irish lady in the New World. (Use the Rembrandt filter?)

There is this little highlight in the lower right. If it is the reflection of the nearest star, why does it not fall on a line connecting the viewer's eye to the star as one would expect for a mirror image? Don't get me wrong, it's a great squiggle of a highlight, more like a brush stroke....just seems too far to the right, but why?
