PHOTOGRAPH INFO

This photo was taken during a week with a lot of thunderstorm activity. As one of the storms blew past it left this tremendously clear rainbow in its wake. There's lots of great detail in the large version. (Those are chamomile flowers growing in the wheat.)

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4Llens at 29mm, ISO 250, shutter speed 1/160s, aperture f/18. Curves adjustments, color balancing.

Well, I recently landed here by recommendation of the Google Reader when I was subscribing to a photography RSS feed.

Since then, I'm checking the pictures every time I can, but I certainly like this one a lot.

By the way, it's nice to see so much beauty in your shots. I live in DE, and when I see some of the pictures I feel like I've been there and I missed so much detail!

..wow. I don't think I've ever had the privilege of seeing a rainbow (much less a picture of one) with such vibrant, clearly defined detail in the colors! Makes for a gorgeous shot with the neutrals of the wheat and the somber sky. I'm impressed=)
