Lehigh County Landscape
PHOTOGRAPH INFO This photo was taken last weekend in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Comments
Beautiful shapes, colors, composition, light. Posted by Anita Bower on March 2, 2008 6:19 AMWonderful winter scenery , well composed and exposed. Posted by Marek.Kulikowski on March 2, 2008 7:35 AMBlue We know that Monet, Wyeth and others have clicked First impression is that of a well groomed land. Like someone test driving their new landscape rake or a huge notched trowel. (That tree looks familiar....hmmmmm, got to look through the archives--keyword=tree.) As I hit the comments button to see your info, I'm thinking, "those colors could be Monet-ish-esque." Not surprising to find, Victoria is way ahead of me. like a duet with Monet and Gershwin.......OK a trio; Monet on the brushes, Gershwin conducting and "Our Lady of Durham" playing the Canon.) The land is lined and dotted not entirely unlike aome distant sheet music that we are invited to read, and perhaps hear if we've the ears. I continue to be so impressed with the mounting evidence that, not only CAN you go out and compose scenes like this, you persistently DO. Also apparent: JPH found a thesaurus. Thanks to you, I get up once and have two beautiful mornings. Carpentersville Dawn-ish-esque, or is it just me? (Sort of a hue-temp reversal and the dramatic lone tree thing that works so well.) Posted by David Tinnon on March 2, 2008 1:05 PMBeautiful image. The colors really work well together. Great balance with the tree as well. Posted by Damien Franco on March 2, 2008 7:38 PMWonderful colors. For some reason I have a Bob Newhart show vibe while viewing this photo. Posted by Christina on March 2, 2008 8:27 PMCould this be the cold blue tones of winter's last stand? Beautiful! Posted by Laurie on March 3, 2008 10:42 AMBeautiful misty tones in the distant mountains Kathleen. Posted by Craig Wilson on March 3, 2008 2:08 PMBeautiful warm and cool colour combination. Very nice shot. Posted by nataJane on March 3, 2008 2:42 PMBeautiful colors. (I live in Lehi, pronounced the same, but in very far away.) Posted by hwalk on March 3, 2008 8:24 PMSpeak!
