Odpoczeliśmy od piesków ...
Composition, colors and tone are perfect!

Beautiful setting, love the colours and contrast!

Light blanket of snow
O'r earth it does lie,
Fall harvest a faint memory
Under bleak winter sky.
But be sure my friends
That this peaceful scene,
Will soon be bursting forth
With things that are green.

Always a perfection! Thanks for this beauty Kathleen.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHH Peace and quiet. How lovely.

You're a poet?
And we didn't know it?

Posted by Molly by Golly on February 26, 2008 3:12 PM

Wonderful landscape, like the colours and the atmosphere.

Beautiful.

Posted by nataJane on February 26, 2008 6:27 PM

JPH, yes,

"Something" will soon
burst forth on the scene--
Jakey at the wheel
of the yellow and green!

Just one of the boys,
With one of his toys.
Gettin' all kinds of dirty,
Makin' all kinds of noise!

but don't yell at the fella,
driving the big green and yella,
It should temper your mood,
to know he's growin' our food.

(So please, pass the corn
and praise Dr. Seuss,
for showing us how poems
could be put to good use!)

Wonderful. The lighting and the color and beautiful.

David Tinnon.....

See what you started on January ten,
KC's photos with rhyming words we now commend.
So with tongue in cheek we'll continue some verse
As is well said "for better or for worse."

Thanks

So let's pass a law.
Don't you all think it's time,
That comments from now own-words,
Will just have to rhyme?

Inspired By Kathleen
We'd produce quite enough,
That bizblogs would crash
from the weight of the stuff!

So scoot up to your PC,
(or up to your MAC,)
enjoy beautiful art,
and then take a crack...

....at creative writing
that'll have all Durham grinning
as DOF, noise and focus
are sent rhythmically spinning!

Rhyme dog shows and landscapes
or churches in fog.
Even negative and positive rhyme
on a photography blog!

As Kathleen downloads it all
to keep safely in a vault,
she can please keep in mind
it's really all her own fault!

Seems beauty and art
are good for the soul,
but inspiration, you see
can get out of control.

(help, I'm rhyming and I can't get up!)

JPH,
you must share the blame.
Will this poor woman's web site
ever be quite the same?

(Not to imply that Kathleen
has any intentions
of ever "being the same,"
with her creative inventions!)

David Tinnon and JPH:
If we all lived closer together we could have you
two arm in arm entertaining the troops at
Kathleen's next show. What talent!

The crowd might hoot us,
and Kathleen might shoot us.

JPH and David could do
A little soft shoe
With a verse or two
No one would boo.

Posted by Motina on February 27, 2008 5:12 PM

Trio, Motina?

Posted by David Tinnon on February 27, 2008 8:58 PM

Msr. Tinnon, Papa Jon and my mom
Penned words with amazing aplomb,
But photos of Durham
Could no longer lure 'em --
Now they're always at rhymezone.com

Fabulous lines, patterns, composition, light, overall effect. Very beautiful. Captures the beauty and peace of winter in rural PA.

Winter light at it's best. What a beautiful shot with all those wonderful layers of color.

The comments are as fun to read as the photo is breathtaking to view.

I am no poet
so for now I will stow-it
and leave it to those
who are better with poetry and prose.

Ugh...see what I mean? I'll stop now.

I love the colors here and the composition. Beautiful!
