Oberly Farm

PHOTOGRAPH INFO

Another photo from February 2007, the same day I took the photo in the previous post.

Wish we had some snow on the ground this year, but there's none in sight -- temps will be in the low 60s the next two days. (UGH! The only benefit is lots of fog.)

So far we're 10 inches under our "normal" snowfall amount for the year.

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L at 17mm, ISO 200, 1/125s at f/16. White balance adjustment (warmer), curves adjustments.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

Beautiful Winter scene.

For me, power lines in pictures normally are distracting but in this shot they compliment the road and rows in the field.

Wonderful colours - great lead in composition.

dull gray/dark clouds is all i can see in this picture!!!!! Atleast me :). Horizon in the middle not giving any weight to either land or sky making me feel like this photograph is missing the punch i usually see here

it's amazing how this can look warm and cold at the same time....just lovely!

This picture makes me cold. BRRRR. I like it though. I live in TExas where it is getting cold this afternoon. However, I cannot complain. We were close to 80 the other day. Can you believe?

I am really enjoying your pictures!

Gotta love this composition with the horizontal divide and strong diagonal connecting the big light and the big dark. It works so well in all that space!

Oberly Farm has some major curb appeal regardless of whether or not there is a curb....and anyway that beautiful tonal sky more than makes up for the lack of curb on which to base the appeal).....and to think Kathleen accomplished all this sans windshield....which she could have easily employed assuming she did not walk to work.

Nice job, thanks.

I feel better seeing you go to the archives...I've been feeling guilty doing that so much lately.

This is a beauty...your archives are a lot better than mine!

Great image. I visit almost everyday and truly enjoy your photography.

We're suppose to get 6 to 9 inches through tonight and tomorrow here in the Chicago area. We're up a little this year on snow. It's been fun. I like it.

Good light. It will be more good, if the power line are not present! :-)

We hope it treats you more kindly
I just now saw the work you did for PA magazine
Bravo

Excellent use of power lines to draw the eye into the photo. This is a great photo of winter in PA!

You and I are wishing for the same thing.. SNOW!!! :
Just love the mood this scene created. We didnt get much snow in 2007 compared to 2006.

Great job in the leading lines, normally one would exclude telephone lines but you made a good choice to include them and use them to even draw you more to the subject.
Keep thinking snow, that little teaser this morning made me quickly recharge my backup batteries lol
snow, snow, snow :)
