Luna

PHOTOGRAPH INFO

This photo was taken at the same farm as the chickens in the previous photo, the Schantz Farm near Zionsville, PA.

Luna is delightfully sweet, playful and quick! She enjoys eating apples.

Behind Luna is a beautiful example of a Pennsylvania German bank barn dating back almost 200 years.

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 58mm, ISO 200, f/3.5, shutter 1/640s. Curves adjustments, color balancing.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

Awww...Woof! So cute.

This is wonderful. The colors are just so pure and perfect.

I love how some dogs have an almost human quality to their gaze. Luna reminds me of a crusty "nohting can faze me" farmer with her doleful eyes and her downturned mouth. She's beautiful, really.

I love this picture! I love the depth of field and the expression on the dogs face! What a talent to be able to capture so much personality, and beauty! I wish I could jump in the picture and go run around the farm with Luna!

Great looking dog!

What a character! She has that wary/wiry look of a "street smart" stray mongrel type. That's the kind of dog that makes the best pals.
I also like the fore ground balance--Luna on the left looking right. Something about the background bugs me though...If I crop the upper half away, it works better. Maybe I don't like that red...maybe if the whole shot were sharp?...clone out the cars? Gimme some cloud shapes? Anyway I love the lower half and for that you get a whole thank you!

I agree with David that mixed breeds make the best pets. I love the mutts and their high bred vigor. Can I use your site to advertise that last week on 12/16/07 while heading down the hill in the ice storm passing the corn fields to the Riegelsville cookie sale, I FOUND A YOUNG RED MALE STRAY POSSIBLE CHOW MIX that was either a stray or I suspect a drop off (no collar). He was taken to the Bucks County SPCA and will have his disposition tested and then be placed for adoption. IF THIS IS SOMEONE'S PET Please call the Bucks County ASAP, as I called and he does have three people waiting to adopt him. If I would have kept him any longer than the time to get him to the SPCA, my husband would not have given him up. If it was not Christmas and I did not have 2 dogs already I would not be trying to find his owner.

So inquisitive. She looks very young in the face

She is absolutely adorable! If she wasn't already taken, I'd load her in my truck and bring her home with me. Great capture Kathleen!
