This photo was taken last Saturday at the Schantz Farm near Zionsville, PA. The colors of the chickens' feathers really stood out on a cold, gray day.

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 58mm, ISO 200, f/2.8, shutter 1/400s. Curves adjustments, color balancing.

Thats the most elegant looking chicken I ever saw...or maybe it's just me. It opened at work on a cinema display--gorgeous color! The colors in the feathers reminds me of those 18th century still life paintings with tables covered with fruit, silverware, china, fish and fowl, pistols, powder horns, violins, cellos, fishing lures, axes, etc., etc.......and for some reason, chickens make me smile.
