Stratocumulus Rows
PHOTOGRAPH INFO This photograph was taken this morning on the way back from the supermarket. I hope I wasn't the only one that saw these magnificent clouds today! Much more detail in the larger version. Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen

Good God! That's magnificent! It looks like you could reach up and touch the sky from where you were standing. Had that been me I would have spent so much time photographing these clouds, the ice cream and other frozen goodies would have melted all over the groceries in the car! Fantastic image, as usual, Kathleen. Posted by Russ on October 26, 2007 12:56 AMThat is pretty amazing. Fabulous! The clouds seem to mimic the rows in the field. We were pretty solid overcast and/or rainy yesterday all day. Posted by Laurie on October 26, 2007 6:11 AMThat is wild! The rows in the sky mimic the rows on the earth. You've got to love Mother Nature. Posted by RD on October 26, 2007 6:22 AMI love how the clouds mirror the rows in the fields. Posted by Keith De-Lin on October 26, 2007 7:40 AMAnother good example of what God paints in your back yard you capture for our enjoyment. (Kathleen - for those who wish for one of your worst shots, maybe now would be a good time for one of you shots of JPH to surface! Ha!) Posted by JPH on October 26, 2007 7:47 AMThat is some spectacular clouds. Perfectly composed with the crop leading your eye right through the image. Posted by ROB on October 26, 2007 7:50 AMWonderful image. Rows above rows. Posted by Brian on October 26, 2007 12:25 PMInteresting how the clouds seem to follow the lined rows in the field. Nice capture. Posted by Alice on October 26, 2007 2:41 PMAmazing. I love how the clouds mimic the rows on the ground. Beautiful contrast and colors. Posted by Andrew on October 26, 2007 4:06 PMBeautiful. Posted by Rain on October 27, 2007 12:52 AMInteresting field you're in,(as usual.) Glad to see you shooting up a blue streak.....looks more like con-trails though.....perhaps leading to the Lake Isatoxin AFB........or Jakey has been crop dusting with a Concord.....hear something? We are SO lucky you have a Carry Permit for that cannon. Tnatk you vrey mcuh! Absolutely awesome, Kathleen! It looks like they were bearing down on you. Posted by Judith Polakoff on October 29, 2007 12:13 AMFertile are the fields of your mind. Are there areas that can be harvested? Is the information gained worth while? There are areas that lie fallow, areas that have been processed, areas that are "ripe for picking" and areas that have never even been cultivated. Those areas are off limits, in fact, if it was even contemplated, there would be a storm of protest by the established way of thinking. Over all of these varied sections rolls a wave of consciousness. It sweeps onward, always moving, always pulsing, always searching to discover the way to enlightenment, peace and self assurance.
