Mr. Darcy is a 3-month old baby pygmy goat owned by a family in Bucks County. He was being shown at the Middletown Grange Fair. I'm not sure if he won any ribbons but he definitely won a lot of hearts!
According to the National Pygmy Goat Association Pygmy Goats are "hardy, alert and animated, good-natured and gregarious." I can attest to that, having met a number of them over the years at this fair. They're total charmers!

Cute! I like the way the guiding hand and arm give perspective to (shouldn't a baby pygmy goat be called Master Darcy?) Mr. Darcy.

'bout a quarter mile down the road, a family raises miniature horses. Very cute too, but they look like the "Budweiser Boys" next to this fella. If he can bark at strangers and catch mice, I'll gladly trade two dogs and four cats!

Is he alone and afraid; uncertain as to how or where to run and hide or is he strong and confident and ready to take on the world? Regardless, he pulls at your heart strings. You just want to pick him up in your arms, give him a bottle and carry him home.
