Beachcombing, 8:00 p.m.
PHOTOGRAPH INFO This photo was taken Monday night at the magnificent Island Beach State Park where I spent part of my vacation. We had great beach weather: air temps in the upper 90s, ocean temps in the lower 60s! Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Vote for this site in the 2007 Photoblog Awards and the 2007 Blogger's Choice Awards Comments
beautiful photo;) Welcome home. The youth examines the mountains and canyons of the memories of earlier footsteps highlighted by the fading sun. Posted by JPH on July 10, 2007 5:48 AMMan, the light and colors in that sand are absolutely beautiful. I really like the way his skin, hair and blue shirt are more saturated versions of the colors in the sand. Super shot! Posted by Justin on July 10, 2007 5:59 AMbeautiful compostion and lighting on the sand :) Posted by david kleinert on July 10, 2007 6:06 AMthis photo is magic & wonderful;) Good example of how to make family snapshots that would be interesting for non-family members! Though I think that the family could say "If the boy looked at the camera it would be much better"... Posted by Tomasz on July 10, 2007 7:01 AMThe way the light plays on the sand makes the shot spectacular. Innocence captured! Posted by Laurie on July 10, 2007 8:11 AMLovin' the different values in the sand. It's great. Posted by Keith De-Lin on July 10, 2007 8:34 AMhuh? Posted by david hasselhoff on July 10, 2007 9:23 AMBeautiful composition and lighting! I like the lines and the curves on the sand, nice textures! Posted by Claude on July 10, 2007 11:43 AMLove the texture and patterns in the sand! Excellent Kathleen. Posted by Craig Wilson on July 10, 2007 3:19 PMThe LIGHT is Fantastic! Playground for all young. Landscape for dreamers. Soft lines. Shape and shadow that silently shift in a symphony of warms and cools. Unending harmony, endless variety. Sorta like clouds, 'cept clouds don't chafe when they get in your........eyes. Hope you kept you lens clean and you feet cool. Shoot, women! Posted by david tinnon on July 10, 2007 8:35 PMI just love this photo. This is a perfect example of how important lighting is and capturing those perfect times of the day when the light is just right. Posted by MarkL on July 10, 2007 8:45 PMYou are the master of all you survey. You get to change anything you want as many times as you want. You are free to let your imagination run wild. There is no pressure because the correct answers are the ones you create. You are a bulldozer, an earth mover, a ship's captain, a world changer, a creator, a conqueror, a god. And when you go home, another dreamer will take your place and the sand will know no difference. Posted by Willow on July 11, 2007 12:56 PMsuch a beautiful shot...perfectly composed, and lovely color...nice job Posted by Steve on July 11, 2007 3:11 PMWOW! This is a stunning photo.
