White Farm
PHOTOGRAPH INFO Another shot from Carpentersville, New Jersey, about ten minutes from Durham Township. Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Comments
Again very intense colours and a dramatic sky. Very picturesque! Posted by dee on May 24, 2007 3:31 AMA fine shot. A real rural respite. Good choice of colors. (thank you, God) Posted by JPH on May 24, 2007 6:05 AMSuch incredibly beautiful colors. Posted by Laurie on May 24, 2007 6:08 AMLove the lighting and the nice wide angle on this. Great shot! Posted by Alice on May 24, 2007 10:16 AMOnce again, your colors and your cloud filled skies are gorgeous. Posted by keith on May 24, 2007 10:19 AMMy first thought was, how idyllic, could Heaven appear any more inviting that a distant farm under that sky? Then had to laugh in agreement with JPH when comments opened and my eye caught the "thank God." Another "right place, right time, right photographer" moment. The ocher fields trimmed by the rich greens of the roadside grass and the cyan sky harmonize perfectly. The composition accents the colors to make a beautiful "Ode to White Farm!" (Have to be in A major...You can hum now...) Thanks (#5001) for the tune of the day, Posted by david tinnon on May 24, 2007 10:52 AMI really love the vibrant colors, and the perspective of looking down the road towards the farm. Very dramatic clouds. We were thinking the same thing: http://www.hekdigital.com/Photos/May_07/dirtroad.htm Posted by Howie on May 24, 2007 12:17 PMINcredible those colours ! Good shot! Posted by ATZUCAC on May 24, 2007 2:43 PM.....and after a full day of planting the seeds of light, Red Tractor God retraces His path across Heaven's Fields to enjoy another peaceful evening at his home, White Farm........and real estate prices in Carpentersville begin to climb... Posted by david tinnon on May 24, 2007 3:13 PMYour landscapes are amazing! Posted by Paulo Jorge Oliveira on May 24, 2007 3:55 PMThe path is plain, travel down the road, travel through the lush grass border or walk through the tilled earth, just get here. The clouds encircle your destination. The sun shines down, highlighting the way. The earth paying tribute to the farmer, the creator of sustenance. This is the white farm, white for purity, the purity of the producer. The most honorable profession. The farmer who works the earth for the benefit of many. He has enough for the masses; the silos and barns tell you so. Look at the condition of the buildings, crisp and clean and the fields, neat and ordered. He is the core of this country, what makes this country great. His life may be changing as his world is slowly absorbed. But he is determined to stay, because he still believes in his dreams. He flies the flag. Posted by Willow on May 25, 2007 12:12 AMLove the colours, such a simple but elegant shot Kathleen. Posted by Craig on May 25, 2007 3:58 AMI must admit: These colours are so beautiful... and the sky !!!
