Pointing at Pennsylvania
PHOTOGRAPH INFO This was shot on the New Jersey side of the Delaware River; the trees on the right are actually in Pennsylvania. Our weird warm weather has created a lot of interesting fog effects -- fun for shooting pictures, but I'd rather have snow! Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen p.s. I'll continue to say THANK YOU for the amazing response to my portrait project... emails are still coming in and I'm very happy. It's gonna take me awhile but I'll be in touch with everyone who's volunteered. I'm taking an extended road trip across the U.S. this summer and I'm in the process of planning my route; I hope to make a path to a bunch of folks who've volunteered! Send me a note if you're interested. :)

There are more and more symbols in your images... I am looking forward to see where this river flows... Posted by Tomasz on January 16, 2007 4:57 AMSend some of that fog in my direction. We've had some but it's not nearly as dramatic as this. It's a bit higher in the atmosphere it seems. Nice shot. The fog does make this interesting for sure. Ghostly almost. Posted by Laurie on January 16, 2007 5:42 AMDefinitely a canidate for a book cover. Very interesting. Posted by Grandfather on January 16, 2007 6:20 AMDramatic and Stirring! Even more powerful in the larger version. Posted by Noreen on January 16, 2007 8:56 AMBeautiful mood...I thought Pennsylvania was the other way. Posted by mjulius on January 16, 2007 10:07 AMGreat job Kathleen! You've captured the fog perfectly. Posted by Angry Buddha on January 16, 2007 10:10 AMVery surreal; very nice. I'm envious that I had to work while all this wonderful fog was around instead of outside producing great photographs such as this one. Great job, Kathleen! Posted by Russ Devan on January 16, 2007 10:17 AMIs the title a play on "Sailing to Philadelphia?" In any case, your pointer has made an excellent point, and you have another exceptionally terrific composition......and Mr. River is in a nice fog... slick rock too! Thats teamwork. Thank you, Kathleen and team. (Isn't there a black lab on that island?) Posted by david tinnon on January 16, 2007 9:17 PMIf you decide to come down to Atlanta, I'd love to meet up. I'm an aspiring photographer myself and would love to see you at work. Posted by Sandra Shirk on January 16, 2007 10:29 PMNice atmosphere...very spooky. It reminds me of the Legend of Sleep Hollow. Posted by Steve on January 16, 2007 10:44 PMI like the atmosphere of this picture. But I would prefer if the person on the picture would be sharper. Nice shot Posted by derLitograph on January 17, 2007 4:45 AMGreat atmosphere! I like the pose. Posted by Lud@ on January 25, 2007 7:44 AMI must have missed this one; just wanted to tell you that it's absolutely gorgeous! Posted by Judith Polakoff on February 25, 2007 3:42 PMSpeak!
