Flour Portrait #4
PHOTOGRAPH INFO This photograph was taken today as part of my 'Flour Portrait Project' which you can read about a few posts back. Basically I'm throwing flour around people's heads for atmospheric interest. This photo was taken with my new lens, the Canon 85mm f/1.2L. Thanks to my friend Kenny for the subtle suggestion. :) Post-processing: Shot with the Canon 85mm f/1.2L lens at 85mm, ISO 200, shutter speed 1/640s and aperture f/2.8. Converted the RAW file using the gradient map, basic curves adjustment, slight color balancing for tone. Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Comments
Gotta love that lens! I like the way this one turned out. Of course Having such a pretty model makes it that much easier I am sure. It almost looks like the flour is coming up from below which is pretty cool. Is that more flour in the background or is it sunlight reflecting on something? Posted by Laurie on August 3, 2006 7:02 AMthat's a great photo. i like the refextion and the light and the model too Posted by Augusto Jorge Aveleira on August 3, 2006 7:53 AMGreat detail on her face, the flour caught her outline well. Posted by Crank on August 3, 2006 3:58 PMman! you needed to get the flour on her face on this one! Posted by Ash on August 3, 2006 7:59 PMI love this photo! Very interesing... Posted by intern on August 4, 2006 6:50 AMThis is ok, but I believe your best work was in preserving in photographic record the landscape of your area. It is beautiful and will be too soon lost. Posted by candida on August 4, 2006 11:48 AMI say yes to flour power - oh how unoriginal. Thankfully, you're photos aren't; fully of originality and beauty. Great stuff.
