Flour Portrait #3 (Cousin Mike)

PHOTOGRAPH INFO

This photograph was taken yesterday afternoon, outdoors with flour once again, as part of my Flour Portrait Project (if I may be so bold).

See the next to last post for more information about this image and how it was made. In case you don't know, that's flour in the background, and on the subject's buzz-cut, clothing and skin.

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 46mm, ISO 200, shutter speed 1/1600s and aperture f/2.8. Converted the RAW file to B&W by using the gradient map, basic curves adjustment for contrast, very light color balancing for tone.

Thank you for visiting (flour-y) Durham Township!

I love his expression, just fantastic!

Hard for me to pinpoint why, but his bald head, expression, and th wilted flour work great with the grit of the flour and the B&W conversion. Has a sort of sinister, carny feel to it.

Another great flour shot...not as stunning as the first in the series, but still interesting and fun to look at.

This is a great shot, the differentiator is the flower in the mouth, absolutely brilliant idea

"Flour" and "flower", I love it!

By the way...which kind were you referring to when we talked about doing a flower/flour shot yesterday??? Just curious what I'm in for. Either way, it should be fun! Had a great time at the balloon festival.
