Jenn in the Chamomile

PHOTOGRAPH INFO

This photograph was taken tonight around 7 p.m. in a nearby wheat field that's been infiltrated by gorgeous and sweet-smelling chamomile. Summer is on its way now.

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 24mm, ISO 1000, shutter speed 1/400s and aperture f/7.1. Multiple curves adjustment for contrast/saturation, color balancing for tone.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

ISO 1000 and not a hint of grain. That 5D is a beast!

Great shot. The wide angle really works well here.

This is a wonderful portrait shot. I love the perspective you've given to it - that dramatic top-down feel makes the chamomile radiate from Jenn.

This is a beautiful excepti.n to the adage that says never, never, never use a wide angle lens for a portrait. Never, never, never means most of the time.

beautiful composition. magical perspective. almost a fairytale. :-)

THis is a stunning portrait. Very impressive.

Great portrait. Setting her in the field with an averted glance keeps it from being an overly cutesy shot, while still conveying the natural prettiness of your friend and the location. The position of the flower she's holding seems a little contrived, but not cheesy.

Very nice! I like the way the green jumps out. Keep up the great work!

.....and yes, its impressive for ISO 1000, even with a small image like this. I'm pleased with my 5D!

Wow...stunning colors. I love the edges of that lense! I also think that the placing of the subject is/was very effective. Beautiful shot!

Great shot, really like the DOF and the whole idea of it, plus brilliant colours ;) anychance of seeing the original (just so I can see the colours?)

Nicely posed portrait, for me would have been better without her holding the flower, when you hold a thumb over this it is so much better.

Kathleen,

What a Supershot ""Jenn in the chamomile"
I love it! Once I a made a walk on an isle with chamomilefields. The smell, whow, the wind on that hot summerday blew the smile of all those flowers in to the nose of my colleags and me! An experience not forget!
Thank you for remembering that chamomilesmellyday!
Keep on making such beautiful shots!
Bye,

Oliver
