Bicycle Built for Two, Berks County

PHOTOGRAPH INFO

This photograph was taken yesterday in Berks County on a little backroad somewhere. I have no idea where I was... but the bike stopped me in my tracks, leaning up against an old barn.

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L at 23mm, ISO 200, 1/250s at f/6.3. Multiple curves adjustments for contrast and saturation, color balancing for tone, selective color saturation and de-saturation (mostly the yellows).

Reminder! Nominate your favorite photoblogs in the 2006 Photobloggies! The nomination process ends Monday, May 8th at midnight EST.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

Maybe it's just some old song they made us sing in school, but this image is just laden with nostalgia. I blame the song because I have never ridden a tandem bike. Nice image!

Great combination of curves in the bike, and straight lines in the roof and shed.

Beauty... Looks like a hard ride to me. Who's going at front? Visit my photoblog for a Dutch [Frysian] farming moment.

Nice shot. Color and shadow. There's a sort of past spirit which is blowing threw the grass...

Wonderful tones, the contrast of the building and the bike is stellar. Wonder how old that bike is...

Terrific tones. Nice exposure catching the roof-line too.

You know, part of me wants to get hold of this old bicycle and restore it to its former self. Seems a bit of a different style to your normal capture.

Did you try to ride the bike by any chance?
