Ice Storm

Oh my god. These are all very lovely, but that top image is probably one of the most beautiful photos I've seen in a long time. Incredible. The silence is deafening.

Dear Kathleen
Have a look at what I wrote on your site in my weblog( Now in English!)

The first image is just great, although I don't see the headlights.

The first one is another one of those painting shots. Just beautiful. Wonderful play between warm and cool colors.

Wow. That first photo, just, wow. How in the world do you get that wonderful look in your photos? Is it just the light, or are there some fun and interesting post-processing steps involved?

I am blown away. I feel like Ice Storm II should not be possible. Definitely agree with orange on warm/cool tones, both in the first picture and in Ice Storm II. Very rarely get to see these tones play so well together in the same frame.

Kathleen,
I look at your website everyday in awe, but rarely do I add a comment. Today I felt compelled to write. I have to agree with the others... outstanding. One can only hope to achieve the artistry you apply to each and every photo.

Thank you for your website... I look forward to seeing "Kathleen's next adventure" each morning.

BTW... Happy Birthday to me! :o)

Just amazing, like everybody else have said. Not to mention breathtaking. The top photo, Headlights on a Driveway, looks just surreal. Like taken from some fairytale. What have you done to create that effect? The composition is great and the contrasts are enormous. The others are really good also.

The top one is so wonderfully magnificent -- the light, the color, the mist -- that I am almost speechless in delight.

Stunning as always my dear.

It all looks unreal ... like something George Lucas would whip up with his computer animation people. Sweet.

Gee whiz, Kathleen - why aren't you FAMOUS - well, you will be if you keep it up - #1 is a knockout where the art of it transcends the setting. Looks like it's taken through the windshield? The subtle diffuseness gives it a painterly look. Great!

Just fantastic pictures. All the other comments I would just add ditto.

A very beautiful set Kathleen, just so magical and what weather! - never witnessed anything like this in England.

I too love the top image with the trees. We've got nothing but pine trees in North Carolina and I've yet to take an interesting pictures of them. What's causing the interesting blurring effect in the branches? Is the wind blowing maybe?

Beautiful, as always. I love Ice Storm III -- you be careful out on that ice okay? :-)
